Countdown to October...

OK, so the picture above is from Google Images, and not one that my family has personally taken, but hopefully that will change in the near future!!

Countdown to October means that our little family of three is planning to spend this Fall making memories together in the Arizona Desert!!! We have been keeping up with many RV blogs and kind of living through them and their lives on the road. Hubby is slowly coming around! In fact, he has been dreaming of Hawaiian Shirts and camping hats, clothing that is not allowed on the dress code at his job! Love it!! I keep telling him that I'm going to "Hippie Him Up"! This may be hard to imagine, since he is a Mechanical Engineer, but I am determined! :)

We are continuing to downsize all of our possessions. This past week, we were finally able to get some of  my Daughter Melissa's belongings to her, including her heavy dresser. Hubby and my Brother, Don, also moved a bed, chest, and chair for my Sister Sherry who just moved into an apartment.

Although I have had my wheelchair around for awhile now, and have been enjoying it when I'm tired, today we've discovered that I can no longer get around on my own steam. Looks like from here out, I am wheelchair dependant--in addition to being Blind! My bright spot is concentrating on going Full-Time RVing and making lots of great memories for our family!!

Just want to give a shoutout to RV Sue and her Canine Crew. In case she reads this, our family LOVES to read your blog and hear of your adventures. And to be honest, I really hope to get to meet you someday!! To all the RV Dreamers out there, if you want to read a really great RV Travel blog, check RV Sue out! You won't be disappointed! :)

A Dream Come True!!

No kidding! I have been dreaming of owning a Travel Trailer (RV) for the past 6 years now! Hubby found "Our Little House" sitting on a lot for sale not too far from where we live. It is a 2006 Gulfstream Cavalier, very clean and in great shape. And at the asking price, it was a steal! We had it delivered to our driveway a week ago. We brought it here to check it out, load it up, and just basically "play with it"! After a month or two, we are taking it to our little lot in the country. At least for now, we will be camping out in it on the weekends. As with everything else, we are taking it one step at a time--the future has yet to be decided. I believe that traveling is looking hopeful!! :)  The picture above is the floorplan to our Travel Trailer. In one of her last posts, my daughter Alexis tried to explain the layout, so I thought I would clear things up by showing the picture. In that same post of hers (We Bought a Gulfstream!! And, Also, a new plan),  There is also a picture of the exterior of the Travel Trailer, so I didn't repost one. My Grandson Dylan spent the weekend with us, and loves "Gramma's Li'l' House!"!

 2 Corinthians 5:7
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."

We have been looking at many options and alot of doors have been closing. The way in which  our little house became  available and was so easy to make happen  assures us that this is "A God thing"!! Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!! :)

Now I must go and read some more RV Blogs!!

♪I've got a peaceful easy feeling...♫

As we welcome the New Year, 2012 finds our family of three under the weather! Mike and Alexis have a rotten bout of Bronchitis and I (Robin) have a Sarcoidosis flare, including Pleurisy in my right lung, and pain in my right kidney (kidney disease), with fever. This too shall pass! With everything that we are dealing with in addition to attempting to pare down our belongings, and find homes for our rescued animals, we are indeed a little frazzeled! Hubby had plans for so many jobs and activities for this Christmas Holiday while he was off from work, but unfourtunately he has been very ill since Christmas.

However, on the bright side, we as a family have been able to keep up with alot of blogs we enjoy. Anyone that knows me is probably aware of my dream of Full-Time RVing. I have been in love with this idea for the past six years. Reading others tales of their RVing adventures brings about a peaceful easy feeling for me. One my personal favorite RV Blogs is RV Sue and her Canine Crew. We have been reading her from the begining (April 2011), as she was getting ready to leave Georgia and head west! Hubbys favorite blog is TRAVEL WITH THE BAYFIELD BUNCH:)). They are a Canadian couple traveling in the Southwest United States. We read and follow some other really great blogs, whether travel oriented or not.

I am currently writing a book while basically home-bound most of the time and these blogs give me the free-spirited feeling that I need to continue on. For now, I am an armchair traveler, but am Praying that it will change someday soon. Praying that Daddy will come around to Mama's way of thinkin'!! :)
